Come along to My Science Fair
 on Sunday 5th March 2017, 10am-3pm!

Powered by the imagination and enthusiasm of local primary school children, this day-long community festival showcases eye-opening children’s projects exploring the amazing world of science and music with hands-on workshops, games and demonstrations, including a special sleep-themed workshop and performances given by members of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with Professor Russell Foster and animateur Mark Withers.

This event is free to attend, and no booking is required!

Timetable for the day
Workshops:

10am Welcome and Chemistry Demonstration
11am & 12pm Drumming meets Numeracy
11.15am Sleep and Music Workshop with the OAE
1pm Family concert with the OAE
1pm Tim Peake Music Workshop
2.15pm Prize-giving for competition entrants

Drop in sessions:

Bot-club with Tony Willett: Tony Willett lets loose the robots, some for demonstration and others to be programmed and experimented with.

Virtual Reality with Dr Nigel Newbutt (University of the West of England): Come and get an insight into the world of Virtual Reality.

Light Demonstrations with Dr Peter Mosley (University of Bath): Explore the world of light and colour with Dr Mosley. Try out a spectroscope and explore the colour spectrum!

Instrument Demonstrations with Emma Davies & Charlotte Dunling (Bath Spa University)
